Rashaad Flucker is a senior running back for Livingstone College, and he rushed for 150 yards in the Blue Bears victory over the Lincoln (Pa.) Lions last Saturday. It was the first win for Livingstone since 2006.

Now that the small stuff is out of the way, let’s talk about the man named Flucker.

“One of the things at halftime, I told the guys Flucker was going to get the ball until he tells me he’s tired,” second-year Livingstone coach Lamonte Massie said. “I wasn’t hoping to hear him say, ‘I’m tired.’ One of the things that made me feel proud to say I’m Flucker’s head coach is we’re running the clock down, and he had the opportunity to make more than 150 yards. But he shared ball responsibilities with another back. I don’t know if he knew his stats, but it wasn’t that important to him.”

Who wouldn’t want to say the name ‘Flucker’ repeatedly? Almost cursing is the next best thing to actually swearing. Can’t you imagine the Blue Bear faithful last week in the stands?

‘Look at the Flucker go!’

‘Flucker is a bad mutha…wait a minute…’

‘I don’t know what got into that Flucker last week, but we need that Flucker to keep it going for the rest of the season.’
