The Alabama A&M men’s soccer team is not only among the best in the SWAC, but among the best collegiate teams in the country. Unfortunately, their winning streak of 8 straight matches came to an end yesterday with a 4-1 defeat at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
The Bulldogs racked up six wins and two ties in their last eight games, and were leading by the nation’s leading goal scorer, MfanaFuthi Bhembe. With the lone score against UAB, Bhembe is the first player in Division I to score 11 goals this season.
