Well, maybe not faster, since we all know that the conversation in CIAA Track and Field starts and ends with Saint Augustine’s College. But the Golden Bulls are off to a good start to the indoor season, with a great showing at Clemson University last week.

It's About Time For Aggie Pride
JC
27 games. That’s how long the Aggies of North Carolina A&T waited for a victory, and their wait was was awarded in grand fashion with a 44-12 romp over CIAA opponent Johnson C. Smith on Saturday afternoon. But the Aggies and head coach Lee Fobbs apparently want no part of extended celebration for ending college football’s longest losing streak.
“We’re not going to discard winning the game,” Fobbs said Monday of the 44-12 verdict over Division II Johnson C. Smith, “but it’s all over now. We’ve got to get ready for our next opponent.”
Now that’s the professional thing to say, but seriously. 27 games is a long time to not get on the bus or walk back to the dorms as the victor. Two recruiting classes, two graduating classes, and generations of alumni have bore witness to one of black college football’s proudest programs looking up at competition, and back on accomplishments past.
It’s just one game, but its a game the Aggie Nation can certainly be proud of.
At least until this weekend.

Black College Football Approval Ratings - Johnson C. Smith University
JC
If you are a big fan of sports blogs, then you know that the medium’s latest rave is approval rating polls. Fans and observers have an opportunity to let their voices be heard, by the simple checking of an “approval” or “disapproval” rating. With that in mind I bring you the inaugural poll for black college sports programs. Each day, I will activate the poll in the ascending order of the HBCU Sports Blog’s Black College Football Pre-Season Power Rankings. If you are so inclined, please feel free to leave a comment with your vote.
The Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls are indeed an enigma. They can score at will through the air, but were incapable of stopping the run last season, as they allowed more rushing touchdowns that they scored passing or running.
Show your true Golden Bull spirit.
