Just because I don’t think the Sheridan Broadcast Network’s black college national championship is worth the pixels that display it on the Internet, doesn’t mean that it isn’t worth acknowledging its recipient.
So congratulations to South Carolina State for winning the mythical title. And for good measure, I’ll even post the final poll.

FAMU would make Tuskegee their woman. Otherwise, I’ll take it for now. I would have loved for PV to take their wares to the playoffs. But then again, that SWAC champ game netted them what, 40-50 bucks at least. Can’t turn that kind of money down.

That’s probably 45 more dollars than they would’ve made going to the playoffs, and double the coverage and recruiting reach. Give or take a few pennies for your cynicism.

Word up, Big Don. It’s pretty simple to me. PV playing Villanova on ESPN primetime I think would have a greater viewing audience. Not to mention a chance to beat your direct competition. PV playing Ala A&M? Where’s the competition…where’s the respect? I love my HBCU’s but the SWAC in wack!
