Record-breaking South Carolina State tailback Will Ford will have arthroscopic surgery to assess knee damage suffered in the Bulldogs’ loss to Appalachian State in last Saturday’s FCS playoff game. The procedure will cause him to miss the Dec. 19 HBCU Senior Bowl.
On Thursday, the school and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference’s all-time leader will find out how soon he’ll be able to resume pursuit of a professional career. Ford is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery to determine the severity of the injury.
“I think it’s a little bit more to it than it is,” Ford said. “I was hoping it would be less … but I think I should still have time to train and rehab.”
