A win over Clark-Atlanta and a HUGE win over Alabama A&M would suggest so. Personally, I have to see a lot more from a team that has gone a combined 8-47 over the last two seasons, but there is room for optimism with the Tigers.
Both victories have been come-from-behind affairs, and both games have featured timely second-half scoring from guards Marquell Jones and Skylar Williams. Surely, the Tigers can’t surrender a lead and come back in every contest, but they may have a perimeter-oriented offense that can stretch defenses and create match-up problems.
Wait-and-see is the best way to classify their start, but its an exciting start nonetheless.
