Division I
1. South Carolina State – (9-1, 7-0) The Bulldogs repeat as football champions of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference with a convincing win over the Morgan State Bears.
2. Prairie View A&M – (6-1, 5-0) – The Panthers come of age with their first berth in the SWAC Football Championship Game with a victory over Alcorn State.
3. Norfolk State (6-4, 5-3) – Road win over Delaware State gives the Spartans three straight.
4. Florida A&M (7-3, 5-2) – Hope dwindles on the Rattlers’ post-season chances with a shutout loss to Hampton.
5. Grambling State (6-4, 4-2) GSU lays the wood to Texas Southern in its final contest before the Bayou Classic.
6. Southern (6-3, 3-2) A convincing win over the Hornets in the Gulf Coast Classic sets up another anticipated showdown with Grambling in the Bayou Classic.
7. Alabama A&M (6-4, 3-3) – The Bulldogs all but squash the inept Jackson State Tigers’ chances at the SWAC Eastern division title.
8. Bethune-Cookman (5-5, 4-3) A light schedule in the second-half of the season has BC in the polls for the first time this year, with five wins out of their last six contests.
9. University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff (5-3, 3-2) – IDLE
10. Hampton (5-5, 3-4) The Pirates pull the biggest upset of the black college football regular season with a home blowout of FAMU.
