Honda has announced the eight participating bands for its 2010 “Battle of the Bands” competition. In alphabetical order;

• Albany State University “Marching Rams”

• Clark Atlanta University “Mighty Marching Panthers”

• Florida A&M University “Marching 100”

• North Carolina Central University “Marching Sound Machine”

• Prairie View A&M University “Marching Storm”

• Southern University “Human Jukebox Marching Band”

• Tuskegee University “Marching Crimson Pipers”

• Virginia State University “Trojan Explosion Marching Band”

The favorites going into the competition are the Marching 100 and the Crimson Pipers, but a dark horse for the title maybe PVAMU Marching Storm; they seem to be winning everything else this year; why not the Battle of the Bands?

Perhaps the best news about this year’s competition may be no news, as Nick Cannon and Joe Clair are nowhere to be found on the ‘Battle’ website or schedule of events.
