The SIAC has announced its 2009 preseason all-conference basketball honors, and once again, Claflin and Benedict are the favorites in the conference.
Also interesting to note is the apparent parity of the conference as evaluated by its coaches. Eight teams are represented on the all-conference team, and within the predicted order of finish, two or more teams are tied for sixth and eighth place, respectively.
If their assessments are correct, it should make for a balanced SIAC regular season and interesting conference tournament. But let’s hope it’s slightly less interesting than last year’s result.
