Former SWAC Player of the Year Trey Johnson signed a 10-day contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers yesterday, making him the first Jackson State Tiger to sign on with an NBA roster since Dwayne Whitfield was a second-round draft pick of the Golden State Warriors in 1995.

Johnson and his 20-points per game for the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League, joins Lindsay Hunter as the only active J-State alumni in the NBA. In his debut against the Toronto Raptors last night, Johnson played two minutes and shot 0-1 from the field.
