I actually think that Alonzo Lee would be a good fit as head coach of the North Carolina A&T football team. He’s familiar with the area, and should have no problem recruiting given his record of success at a number of MEAC schools.
And therein lies the problem with many of the A&T fans. He’s been at a number of MEAC schools.
Some fans have charged the school with once again going with a career assistant, after filling the air with lofty, high-profile coaching names. You can’t blame Aggie Nation for being knowledgeable. They know that the school can get a big name coach and has the money to do it.
But you never know if its a job coaches want to take. Sources in the A&T program have confirmed that Henry Frazier III was the third candidate on Wheeler Brown’s short list. He’s the highest profile candidate of the three coaches, and was the choice Aggie fans wanted in charge.
But he doesn’t have the job, or so we think.
So who should be the head coach at North Carolina A&T? If not Lee, who would be the ideal coach that would leave his current situation for a rebuilding job in Greensboro?
