The Hampton University Pirates boast a proud fan base. The school compliments its extensive academic and athletic history with a robust commitment to making athletics the social center of its institution.

But they’ve had some bumps along the way, particularly with the football program. The school had to fire first-year head coach Jerry Holmes just one season after the unceremonious departure of legendary coach Joe Taylor to conference-foe Florida A&M. They are contenders in a number of men’s and women’s athletics programs, and have a solid brand in the Tidewater area and in parts beyond.

But if there’s something holding you back from attending games or making donations to the athletic department, you should let them know. And that’s the point of this exercise.

How can Hampton University win you as a fan? How can they get you to come to a game? Any game? Feel free to leave your comments below, and the information will be forwarded to Hampton President Dr. William Harvey and Athletic Director Lonza Hardy.
