As being a life long rattler fan, a two time alum and now a professor of this great university, I am very proud of this moment. Over 54 million viewers are seeing our beautiful campus, hearing brief historical facts about our athletic programs, and of course seeing the world famous Marching 100. This is just a great time in our history and the history of HBCUs. I think that it will help us recruit students as well as student athletes.
True. I am also a lifelong Rattler fan and a 2006 Alum’ and it is a great honor for FAMU to be showcased on a nationally televised stage. This will help with recruiting honorable students and student athletes. We have come from the rear and RATTLERS the best is yet to come. I’m so glad I’m from FAMU, congratulations to the University and the incomparable marching “100″.
I particularly enjoyed the stats the GameDay crew provided on the history of the MEAC, notable black college and FAMU alumni, and the story lines behind the game itself.

Indeed. FAMU did a tremendous job of hosting the broadcast. The students and alumni were wonderful, and made us all very proud.

I am elated The Florida A & M University received the opportunity to showcase what is special about HBCU culture.
I hope today marks a historic precendent that will begin a trend of bringing more exposure of HBCUs to mainstream media.
