I have to admit, the folks associated with the Sheridan Black College Football poll are getting better with these rankings. The top three remain as they should have, Florida A&M and Grambling both ascended appropriately, and the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats finally got some love for continuity.
Southern should be down a little bit further, as they are the only three-loss team in the top ten. Other than that, you can probably take this to the bank.
Now, if they would only reconsider naming a “black college football champion,” we’d really be in business.

Grambling State Unvirsity Play the best black college football. They play better school than the other hbcu’s and they compete. The tigers have been holding down the black school since 2001 no disrespect to tuskege but they don’t play anyone. Don’t get me wrong their QB is great but GSU would punish them GO Tigers oh please watch the Bayou Classic you would see what im talking about

Grambling is pretty good this year, but I think Tennesse State could handle them.

Tuskegee would handle Grambling in a second. I have seen both schools play this season and the last couple years. Tuskegee is one of the best I have seen. Just as they handle Alabama State and Alabama A&M out of the SWAC.

I know that Tuskegee has had some good showings over SWAC and CIAA teams, but all of us can admit that they haven’t seen the cream of the crop in either of the conferences.
Grambling, South Carolina State and Elizabeth City might all have a good chance against the Golden Tigers. After all, Virginia Union gave them a good run in the 2007 Pioneer Bowl.

South Carolina State would destroy anyone in the top ten. This poll is horrible.SCSU has played Clemson and Central Florida. What other schools have played this level of competition.

Don’t forget – SCSU had a close one against Norfolk St. a few weeks back. Don’t call them a juggernaut just yet.
