Rough doesn’t even begin to describe the start of the season for the Jackson State volleyball squad. Out-of-conference tournaments around the Bible Belt took a toll on the Lady Tigers, to the tune of 11 straight losses.
But the Lady Tigers have rediscovered their winning ways in the month of October. They have won four straight conference matches on the road, have only lost four games in the stretch.
Along with Prairie View A&M, Grambling and Misssippi Valley State, the Lady Tigers are in the mix for a run at the SWAC Volleyball Championship, but upcoming games against MVSU and the field of the Southern University tournament will determine how much of an ingredient JSU really is.
