If you are in Nashville, Columbia or Jackson and can’t get enough TSU Tigers in person, look no further than the new Big Blue Sports Network. The network, which will broadcast on AM stations and reach into parts of Kentucky and Mississippi, will feature all twelve Tennessee State football games and men’s basketball beginning this winter.
This is a media model that many black colleges should pay attention to. It’s relatively inexpensive to market on AM stations, and a fan following would support a network that expands the athletic mission of a school. This also creates opportunities for community and corporate advertising, and generates attention from mainstream media outlets who otherwise might not cover black college athletics.

As an alumnus I couldn’t be more proud, as an alumnus in Milwaukee I’m sad I won’t be able to hear it. Great site by the way!
